Tennessee Campers On Mission Work Weed – TN Baptist Children’s Home – Chattanooga

Eighteen members of TN – COM gathered at the Children’s Home in Chattanooga April 23 for the Spring Rally followed by a work week April 25 – 29.  These volunteers worked 651 total hours over 4 ˝ days and completed some much needed work in two of the campus dwellings.

Jobs completed include:

1.      Paint kitchen cabinet doors in Min-Tom Home

2.      Install firring strips, sheetrock, and dropped ceiling in a basement hallway in Cobble Home

3.      Install recessed lighting in dropped ceiling, two 3-way switches, and safety lights in hallway in Cobble

4.      Move LED ceiling fixture from old hallway to new location - Cobble

5.      Install light in stairway along with 3-way switches at top and bottom of stairway - Cobble

6.      Install and plumb new slop sink in side room of commissary - Cobble

7.      Install wood flooring in hallway and laundry room in Cobble

8.      Install new door and partition wall on main floor in Cobble

9.      Install new door in hallway in basement - Cobble

10.  Paint new sheetrock in basement hallway - Cobble

11.  Install vinyl siding along entrance steps at front of Cobble

12.  Add support columns on east entrance stairs in Cobble

13.  Paint new base trim – Cobble

14.  Install new safety light/exit sign on main floor - Cobble

 

In addition, two COM members prepared, served, and cleaned up for noon meals each day.
